    12/29/2011 - The implementation of NCPDP D.0 changes the way providers should submit dispense as written (DAW) codes.

  • HIPAA 5010 Penalties Temporarily Delayed for Noncompliant Providers Submitting Electronic Batch Claims

    12/20/2011 - Providers submitting electronic batch claims are expected to be compliant with HIPAA 5010 January 1, 2012. However, the Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) will accept both versions 4010A1 and 5010 starting January 1, 2012, for a period of time to be determined by the IHCP. Email notice of providers’ anticipated noncompliance with the January 1 start date must be received by **DECEMBER 27, 2011.**

    12/20/2011 - The Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) will offer virtual-room training in January to prepare for the impact of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on provider enrollment.

  • IHCP Prepares for ACA Provider Screening and Enrollment Changes

    12/20/2011 - In compliance with the requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) has made significant changes to provider enrollment policies and procedures effective January 1, 2012.

  • NCPDP D.0 Penalties Temporarily Delayed for Noncompliant Providers

    12/13/2011 - Providers submitting pharmacy claims are expected to be compliant with NCPDP D.0 January 1, 2012. However, the IHCP will accept both versions D.0 and 5.1, and batch 1.1 and 1.2 claims starting January 1, 2012, for a period of time to be determined by the IHCP. Email notice of providers' anticipated noncompliance with the January 1 start date must be received by December 21, 2011.

  • HIPAA 5010 and NCPDP D.0 Compliance Date - January 1, 2012

    11/22/2011 - As announced in the CMS statement posted November 17, 2011, the compliance date for the use of the ASC X12 Version 5010 and NCPDP D.0 transactions remains January 1, 2012. All trading partners exchanging electronic transactions with Indiana Medicaid are expected to be HIPAA 5010 and NCPDP D.0 compliant by January 1, 2012.

  • ACA Provider Screening and Enrollment Requirements

    11/22/2011 - To meet federally mandated provider screening and enrollment requirements that are part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), the IHCP will change provider enrollment processes, including provider enrollment forms and the Provider Enrollment pages on this web site.

  • CMS Announces 2012 Provider Enrollment Application Fee of $523

    11/22/2011 - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has calculated the provider enrollment application fee for 2012 and set the fee at $523. This fee supercedes the application fee of $505 published in BT201151 and posted October 25 in News and Announcements on indianamedicaid.com.

  • Monetary Cap for Dental Services Has Been Removed

    11/14/2011 - On November 4, 2011, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana issued a Preliminary Injunction enjoining the agency from enforcing 405 IAC 5-14-1(b). Consequently, the monetary cap of $1,000 for dental services has been removed in accordance with the Court’s Order, subject to all other requirements, pending further order of the Court.

    11/08/2011 - The OMPP asks all providers to complete the first ICD-10 IHCP Provider Readiness Survey, which is now available online. The objective of this survey is to determine if you are impacted by the implementation of ICD-10 codes and where you are in your transition planning and implementation.

    09/16/2011 - On September 14, 2011, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana reversed its July 8, 2011, Temporary Restraining Order and denied the Motion for a Preliminary Injunction, allowing the State to implement and enforce LSA #11-382(E).     07/12/2011 - On July 8, 2011, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana issued a Temporary Restraining Order enjoining the agency from implementing LSA #11-382(E). Consequently, pharmacy providers subject to this statute will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $4.90 dispensing fee per pharmacy claim in accordance with the Court’s Order, subject to all other requirements.

Consequently, providers subject to this statute are eligible Medicaid Providers pending further order of the Court, subject to all other provider eligibility requirements.
