Dental Care: "First visit by first birthday"

Your child should visit a dentist when his or her's first tooth comes in, which usually occurs between 6 and 12 months of age.  Early examination and preventive care will protect your child's smile now and in the future.  It is important for children to see a dentist twice a year for cleaning and fluoride treatment.  In addition, your child's dentist may conduct x-rays and repair cavities.
