Transportation Services
Medicaid can provide transportation to and from a medical
service that is covered by Medicaid. Examples of
transportation services include a taxi ride to an appointment with
your doctor and an ambulance ride to the hospital in an
emergency.
The transportation you use must be the least expensive type of
transportation available that meets your medical needs. Medicaid
does not cover transportation-related charges, including parking
fees, tolls, meals, or lodging for either members or their
escorts.
If you have further questions regarding transportation services,
contact your health plan. You can find important phone numbers in
the contact us
section of this website.
