How often can I use PE coverage?

You can only receive this temporary coverage once per year or once per pregnancy.

Can I complete a PE application for my other family members?

Yes, if you know their answers to the questions on the PE application.

Can someone complete the PE application for me?

Yes, if the person knows your answers to the PE application questions.

What do I need to bring with me for the PE application?

You will need the following information:

  • Name;
  • Address;
  • Phone Number;
  • Social Security Number;
  • Family Size; and
  • Amount of Monthly Family Income

Do I get a PE member card?

You need to use your PE approval letter that you receive from the hospital or clinic when you want health care.  This letter should be treated just like a member card.

When does my PE coverage begin?

Your temporary coverage is effective on the date that you are approved.  You may need to wait two days to get your prescriptions filled at your local pharmacy.

Where can I get health care while I'm on PE?

You can get health care services from any Indiana Medicaid provider.

What if I do not get a full application completed?

Your PE coverage is only temporary, so you will have no Indiana Medicaid coverage.
